2 Samuel 22: 3-4 My God, my Rock, in Him will I take refuge; my Shield and the Horn of my salvation; my Stronghold and my Refuge, my Savior–You save me from violence. I call on the Lord, Who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies.
Trials, test, warfare…all come our way. God doesn’t promise us a carefree life. What He promises is to deliver us from the midst of our struggles. No matter what I may face, no matter how hard my day, no matter the amount of enemies that rise up against me to take me down…My God is still the one I choose to take my refuge in. He, and He alone is the one who protects me, it is He who is my ultimate salvation from this world. I can trust in and rely on the fact that no matter what I face, no matter how many of my friends or loved ones may turn against me as they did with King David, God, my God, hears me when I call on His name and saves me from those who persecute me.
Praise be to the ROCK of my salvation! He is a strong tower in whom I can run to and hide myself, seeking His protection. Because of His shed blood my wounds heal quickly. I submit myself to living a life pleasing and obedient to His ways and I make the choice to praise Him even for my struggles, trials, wars, and all the good things He blesses me with!
